People with Learning Disabilities and/or autism

Update from information in CCG Bulletins issue 64 (03/05/17) and issue 66 (05/07/17).

Information on Assuring Transformation data and Learning Disabilities Mortality Review (LeDeR) is available on the West Norfolk CCG’s website.

Assuring Transformation data (AT data)

Every month, NHS England collects from CCGs (pseudonymised) information known as Assuring Transformation data (‘AT data’). AT data is information about people with learning disabilities, autism or both who are getting care in hospital for their mental health or because they have had behaviour that can be challenging. It is collected to ensure that they are receiving the right care in the right place and it gives commissioners broad oversight of their care.

NHSE has recently issued a revised AT easy read information leaflet which includes what to do if an individual does not wish details about their care to be included in the collection of AT data. NHSE has also issued guidance for CCGs about AT data and managing individual objections. The AT leaflet and guidance can be found on the below link to the Learning Disabilities and/or Autism page on West Norfolk CCG’s website.
