Ordering Your Repeat Medication 

 

ON PAPER: Please tick clearly all the items you require on your request slip and drop the slip into the Health Centre ‘Mail box’, or the boxes at Marifa Lodge Welney and the village shops in Friday Bridge and Emneth. Please note that only items that are on your repeat slip may be ordered, any other medication requested will require an appointment with the Doctor/Nurse Practitioner.

 

ON LINE: You can ask at reception for a PIN number and register with Emis Access to order repeats over the internet.

BY FAX: Please fax your clearly marked repeat request to the Health Centre on 01945 773152

 

BY POST: Simply post us your repeat slip with the items you require clearly marked.

 

We regret that for reasons of clarity, we do not usually accept telephone requests for repeat medications, however if there are special circumstances, please speak to the pharmacy. When ordering repeat medication please allow at least two working days, if posting your request please allow for postage time in addition to the notice required by the surgery.

 

We are in the process of rolling out a repeat dispensing service which will enable you to collect repeat medications without pre-ordering – ask at the pharmacy for details.

 

 

Please don’t come to reception asking for repeat medication

Unfortunately we are encountering an increasing number of patients who either forget or choose not to order their repeat medications on time.  Whilst we fully acknowledge that occasionally everyone forgets it really helps us here at the Practice if people order in good time.

 

It is your responsibility to order your medication on time.

When you forget to order your repeat prescription it causes you inconvenience and creates unnecessary work for the doctors and dispensary staff. It interferes with the care we are trying to give to other patients which is very important to us and to them.

In future if you forget to order your medication you will be asked by our Reception Team to come back the next day or the day after to collect it, depending on what time you make the request.

 

There are very few drugs where a delay of 24 hours will have a clinically significant impact. If your drug is one of these the Reception Team will message the GP and ask you to come back between 5 and 6PM the same day. Please note that you may still have to wait for a time when you come back, but the GP will endeavour to get the prescription ready for you as soon as practical. Please note we do not interrupt surgeries or meetings for prescription matters.
