We have two vacancies at the present time.

Healthcare Assistant
15 hrs per week.
 
At Upwell Health Centre we have a multi skilled team of 6 GP's, 2 ANP's a Paramedic Practitioner, Clinical Pharmacist and a Long Term Conditions Specialist Nurse who together with our excellent nursing team provide high quality healthcare to our 10,500 patients located in Upwell, Outwell and the surrounding villages. 
                  
We are looking for a part-time Healthcare Assistant to join our team of Nurses to deliver excellent care to our patients.  Ideally you would need to be qualified to NVQ3 level or equivalent with experience of General Practice duties with a view to extending this role as change in General Practice evolves. Main duties will include
 

  • Venepuncture
  • Blood Pressure measurement
  • Health checks
  • Urinalysis
  • ECG recording
  • Processing of Lab samples for collection
  • Chaperoning
  • Assisting GP’s with minor surgery and coil fittings
  • Dressings
  • Removal of sutures/clips

 
Hours will be mainly worked 8.30 to 16:30  Monday /Tuesday one week and Thursday/Friday the next  however flexibility is required as you will be working to a monthly rota along with other members of the nursing team.
 
We are offering a very competitive salary (actual salary will depend upon experience and qualifications) and membership of the NHS Pension Scheme.

Practice Nurse  
30 - 37 hrs hrs per week.

                     
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic nurse to join our team at this exciting time in General Practice.  We have a multi skilled team of 6 GP’s , 2 ANP’s , a Paramedic Practitioner, Clinical Pharmacist and Long Term Conditions Specialist Nurse who work alongside our excellent nursing team to provide high quality healthcare for our 10,500 patients located in Upwell, Outwell and the surrounding villages. 
 
You would need to be a qualified  Practice Nurse with experience of treatment room duties with a view to extending this role as change in General Practice evolves.
We are also looking for someone with a qualifications or interest in Respiratory Disease or Diabetes with a view to helping out with our Chronic Disease clinics.
 
Hours will be worked to a monthly rota along with other members of the nursing team covering our treatment room hours of Monday to Friday 8.30am – 6.30pm.
