  • Mrs Jane Howlett SRCh D.Pod.M providing private chiropody treatment, please ask reception for details.
  • A registered osteopath working here half a day a week. If you would like to see him, please telephone 01366 383840. Unfortunately, his services are not available on the NHS.
  • On the second Monday of each month, West Norfolk Hearing Support Service hold a drop-in clinic for hearing aid repairs, replacement of batteries etc. from 13:00-15:00.
  • On the first Wednesday of each month, West Norfolk Carers hold a clinic from 14:00-16:00 to provide advice and support to anyone who is a carer

Travel clinic

Advice and vaccinations are given by the practice Nurses. Please do not ask any of the receptionists for advice regarding travel vaccines as they are not medically trained.

Please complete our Travel Risk Assessment form and the nurses will get back to you with advice.

Please note that currently we do not give complex travel vaccinations. If you are going away to more than one country, you will need to contact a local travel vaccination clinic provider.

You may need travel vaccines or if diseases such as malaria are a risk, you may need to start protecting yourself well in advance.

Prepare a kit of travel health essentials, including sunscreen, painkillers, antiseptic, insect repellent and anti-diarrhoea pills. These will be useful wherever you’re going. Sexual health experts advise taking condoms with you to avoid the risk of buying fake brands, which may be unsafe, when you get there.

Physiotherapist

We have an NHS physiotherapist working at Upwell Health Centre. Access to this service is through the doctor or nurse practitioner.

INR (Warfarin) clinics

We run a number of clinics for patients to have their anti-coagulation treatment reviewed.

Diabetic clinic

This is run by Mrs Angela Mills and the nursing team. The dietician is available by appointment to give dietary advice. All diabetic patients are seen, by invitation, twice a year to be screened for complications and to have their control checked.

Pre-conceptual care (planning a healthy pregnancy)

If you are planning to start a family, our midwife holds pre-conception clinics to ensure that your physical health is at it’s best. You will receive practical advice on diet, stopping contraception, rubella, breast feeding, folic acid supplement and be able to discuss any anxieties that you have about pregnancy and labour.

Antenatal clinics

These are run every Thursday by the community midwife.

Minor injury

We are fully equipped to deal with minor injuries.

Minor surgery

Minor surgery is carried out by all of the doctors, thus saving you the time and inconvenience of going to hospital.
